Calculate Your Resume ROI How long does it take for a resume to pay for itself? If You Are Unemployed... How much income are you losing every day that you are unemployed? Divide your annual salary by 52 weeks, and divide that by 5 days per week. Example: Client A $65,000 per year ÷ 52 = $1250/week ÷ 5 days = $250 per day in lost wages This client paid $375 for her resume. Her resume will pay for itself, even if shortens her job search by just TWO DAYS. If You Are
Employed, Example: Client B Client B was an IT Manager making $95,000. He wanted to increase his salary by 10-15%. A recruiter contacted him about a position in the $100K+ range. He was well-qualified, but the competition was tough. He invested in a top-notch resume, aced the interview, and was hired at $110,000 (a 15% increase). This client paid $575 for his resume. How long did it take for the resume to pay for itself? The $15,000
raise
÷ 52 = This candidate's resume paid for itself within TWO WEEKS in the new position. Did we mention that resume preparation fees are usually tax deductible? :-)
